• 01. Identifying the Sri Lankan national heritage in legitimate terms and conservation of the national heritage.
• 02. Assisting in the formulation of policies in relation to the subjects of national heritage, performing arts and promotion of rural arts.
• 03. Conservation and promotion of tangible and intangible cultural heritage.
• 04. To make aware of the community inclusive of children and youths on conservation of heritage and ethical values. Enriching the creativity and diversity of the publications on cultural subjects.
• 05. To validate and update the statutory status of each institution.
• 06. Safeguard the rights of indigenous communities and communities with especial identities and make them contented communities.
• 07. Protecting the rights of communities with aboriginal and distinctive identities and making them a contented people.
• 08. Ensuring the artists’ career security in profession.
• 09. Providing opportunities and facilities to international community for appreciation of local artistic work.
• 10. Conservation and promotion of local artistic work and to facilitate for appreciation of such works by communities with high-end standards.

• 01. ශ්‍රී ලාංකීය ජාතික උරුමයන් නෛතිකව හඳුනා ගැනීම හා ජාතික උරුමයන් සංරක්ෂණය කිරීම.
• 02. ජාතික උරුම, ප්‍රාසාංග කලා, ග්‍රාමීය කලා ශිල්පී ප්‍රවර්ධන කටයුතු විෂයයට අදාළ ප්‍රතිපත්ති සම්පාදනයට සහාය වීම.
• 03. ස්පර්ශනීය හා අස්පර්ශනීය සංස්කෘතික උරුමයන් සංරක්ෂණය හා ප්‍රවර්ධනය.

• 01. இலங்கையில் காணப்படும் தேசிய மரபுரிமைகளை சட்டமுறையாக இனங்காணுதல் மற்றும் அத்தகைய தேசிய மரபுரிமைகளை பாதுகாத்தல்.
• 02. தேசிய மரபுரிமைகள், அருங்கலைகள், கிராமிய கலைகள் என்பவற்றை ஊக்குவிக்கும் விடய அம்சத்திற்கு உரிய கொள்கைகளை ஆக்குவதற்கு உதவுதல்.
• 03. கட்புலனாகு மற்றும் கட்புலனாகா மரபுரிமைகளை பாதுகாத்தல் மற்றும் அவற்றை ஊக்குவித்தல்.
• 04. நாட்டின் சிறுவர்கள் மற்றும் இளைஞர் யுவதிகள் அடங்கலாக முழு மக்களுக்கும் தேசிய மரபுரிமைகளை பாதுகாத்தல் மற்றும் அவற்றை ஊக்குவித்தல் மற்றும் அவை தொடர்பான நெறிமுறைகள் என்பன பற்றி விழிப்பூட்டுதல்.
• 05.  கலாச்சார விடயப் பிரிவுக்கு உரிய வெளியீட்டு ஆக்கங்களையும் மற்றும் பல்லினத்துவத்தையும் மதித்து அத்தகையவற்றை வளர்த்து போஷித்தல்.
• 06. ஒவ்வொரு நிறுவனத்திலும் காணப்படும் நியதிச்சட்டமுறையான அந்தஸ்தையும் மற்றும் சட்டபூர்வமான தன்மையையும் உறுதிசெய்தல் மற்றும் இற்றைப்படுத்துதல்.
• 07. ஆதிவாசிகளினதும் மற்றும் தனித்துவமான அடையாளம் உடைய மக்களினதும் உரிமைகளை பாதுகாத்தல் மற்றும் அவர்களை சமூகத்தில் திருப்தியான மக்கள் குழுவாக ஆக்குதல்.
• 08. கலைஞர்களினது தொழில்சார்ந்த பாதுகாப்பை உறுதிசெய்தல்.
• 09. உள்நாட்டு கலைஞர்களின் ஆக்கங்களை வெளிநாட்டவர்கள் கண்டுகழிப்பதற்கு தேவையான வாய்ப்புகளையும் மற்றும் வசதிகளையும் செய்து கொடுத்தல்.
• 10.  உள்நாட்டு கலைஞர்களின் ஆக்கங்களை பாதுகாத்தல் மற்றும் ஊக்குவித்தல் மற்றும் தரத்தில் உயர்ந்த நிலையில் அவற்றை கண்டுகழித்து இரசிப்பதற்கு தேவையான வசதிகளை செய்து கொடுததல்.
